Morbihan
For visitors, villas in Brittany offer the perfect base for discovering the Morbihan area on the south coast. It has over 800km of fine sandy beaches, rugged coastline, rivers and estuaries. The climate is mild here with wooded valleys and the legendary inland forest of La Broceliande.
If you are staying at any of our Brittany villas a trip to the well-preserved medieval centre of Vannes with its half-timbered houses and the prehistoric megaliths in nearby Carnac is highly recommended.
Enjoy taking a boat to Belle-Ile-en-Mer for walks along the Cote Sauvage with its panoramic views. Hire a bike from the port of Le Palais to fully appreciate the islands wild Atlantic coast and the gentler landward shoreline. Back on the mainland a patchwork of forests and fields covers much of the countryside inland. Take a tour of the 19th-century medieval chateau of Josselin, which overlooks the river Oust, or head to Kerguehennec, west of Josselin, for the modern sculpture park.
